NORTH DALMATIA is a very attractive sailing area due to the multitude of islands (both big and small) that offer a variety of opportunities for an attractive vacation. There are three National Parks in this area to satisfy all nature lovers also. KORNATI National Park includes a multitude of islands in crystal clear waters. It provides a true vacation experience at the sea. There are also numerous restaurants where you can try homemade specialties and fresh fish. Within the National Park there is MARINA PIšKERA.

Not far from Kornati, the island of ŽUT is located a little north, also with its original beauty and with MARINA ŽUT.

North of KORNATI continues the island of DUGI OTOK with a beautiful bay Nature park Telašćica.

All this is about an hour or two sailing from the island of MURTER where you have three marinas available (in the towns of MURTER, BETINA and JEZERA). The island of MURTER is very indented with numerous bays where you can also anchor and enjoy the silence.

KRKA National Park is a wonderful waterfall on the KRKA River, where you can swim. To get there you have to enter the ŠIBENIK channel (beside the attractive fortress of St. Nicholas), which in itself is also a great attraction as is Šibenik bay. You then continue sailing north in the river KRKA to SKRADIN where there is a marina. From there you can go to visit the waterfalls.

PAKLENICA National Park, is a magnificent canyon in the VELEBIT Mountains where you can also try rock climbing. The closest place to visit is STARIGRAD.

We must also mention the historic city of ZADAR, which you should visit. The city also has a marina and all these national parks are about two hours from ZADAR.

From ZADAR you can also visit the islands of PAG (known for the best cheese in the world “Paški sir”), MOLAT, PREMUDA, SILBA and OLIB. All idyllic places.

Then the islands near IŽ, SESTRUNJ, UGLJAN, PAŠMAN. There are also marinas in BIOGRAD and SUKOŠAN that are also good starting points.
